Merry Christmas!

We went to Lake Las Vegas to take the kids pictures for our Christmas card about 2 weeks ago now, but I have yet to print them and send them! I thought I might as well just Blog everyone my Christmas card this year! Next year I will be more on top of things...maybe!

December Happenings!

December is flying by! I can't believe that there are less than two weeks left until Christmas. There is so much that I want to squeeze in before then. Here are a few fun things we have done so far!Boulder City has a fun little Santa Train for a few weekends every December. We have been going since Avrie was a baby. This is the first year they actually wrote a letter to Santa and dropped it in his mailbox!
We had to get a picture in the cute little sleigh, even if not one person was looking at the camera!

On the train!

Don't they look excited? :)

Finally, Santa made it to our train car! Chase (in the left corner) looks a little bit more excited now!

Noah had his family birthday party at Grandma and Grandpa Robbins!

He loves those handcuffs!

We went with the Jappe's to the Magical Forest at Opportunity Village. If you haven't been, you need to! It was so much fun, even if it was in the low 30's. There seriously were snow flurry's out there! Avrie said the train ride there is "way better than the Santa Train!"

We didn't even tell Noah to kiss Macie. Seriously, this boy just loves to kiss. I won't complain...until he gets to be a teenager.

They have a big wheel race track that the kids loved. I wish we would have got a picture of them going down the Alpine slide. It was huge, and these three dinky kids came flying down. They all had scared looks as they were coming down, but they all wanted to do it again!
Finally, the highly anticipated Robbins Family Christmas party. We start out at the church at about 11:30, and get home at about 9:00 that night. Sounds like a long time, but it flies by!

Avrie and her beloved gingerbread house that I will never be allowed to throw away!
As much as this little girl gets into trouble, how can you just not love that little face?

Pinata time! Avrie insisted on being on the big kid Pinata this year. I don't quite know why, she would have had more turns if she would have stuck to the 5 and under pinata!

To wrap up the evening, there is always a special guest! Santa calls each kid, and couple up to sit in his lap! We all get a gift and a candy cane! Macie had no fear, she walked right up there when her name was called!

Noah told Santa he wants cars. Whoops, looks like Santa is headed back to Walmart!
The close up picture of Avrie was blurry :(. She wants Pixo's, what a relief!
We got to bed late then woke up early for a special day at church. Our nephew Justin had his "farwell". He did a great job speaking, and so did Uncle Rob! I didn't take any pictures there, sorry! Now that I think about it, I should have taken some at the luncheon, dang!

Happy Birthday Noah!

Noah turned 4 today! I can't believe how fast time has gone by! Noah is such a funny kid and such a blessing to have in our home. There is never a dull moment! Here are a few things I just love about this kid:
He is a mama's boy for sure, and love's to hug and kiss.
He says the darndest things and keeps us laughing all the time!
He is smart! He was reading the Mad Gab box a couple days ago and said Mad backwards spells Dam. (he meant dam like Hoover dam of course!)
He never complains about making his bed in the morning.
He loves to run around the house singing, especially "Book of Mormon Stories" lately.
He always makes up new words to the tune of familiar songs. (I wonder where he gets that from?)
He can not eat a meal without getting it all over his clothes and the floor! (okay, I guess this isn't something that I love all the time!)
He is quick to apologize when he has done something wrong. (unless he is in a mood)
We love our Noah and can't imagine our family without him!
Here is the huge Costco cake that he picked out. There is tons left over if anyone is craving Costco cake.
His face was just so funny in this picture, I had to throw it in there! He looks so happy about that gift!

Thanksgiving!

At the beginning of the month, the kids started putting one leaf on our "Thankful Tree" each night before bed. It was really fun to hear what they had to say every night. Here are a few of my favorite's:
Avrie: I am thankful that we get to go to school so we can get smarter.
Noah: TV (I just thought it was kind of funny because that was the same night!)
Avrie: I am thankful that Jesus died for us and that we can live with our families forever. (EVERY night Avrie had something very profound to say!)
Noah: I am thankful for everyone in the whole light (he means wide) world except for the Lamanites and the bad guys.

We had Thanksgiving dinner at my Mom and Dad's at about 1:30, then headed over for Robbins Thanksgiving at 3. I couldn't eat much the second time around!
After Julia, her sister Jenny, and I got home from our traditional early morning shopping, we got to decorating for Christmas. The kids had lot's of fun this year, and actually helped quite a bit. Avrie and Noah helped anyway, Macie "helped". And for the first time since our very first year of marraige, Randy hung Christmas lights on the outside of our house, I am so excited!

Suggestions?

I was at the bookstore a few days ago and noticed these little guys. I know Noah would love them, but I just can't see paying $6 a piece for these 3 inch plastic guys. Does anyone know of another place to get them for a better price?

Halloween!

Even though we did the push in faces (best thing ever), I decided that the best part is taking the goop out. I cut off the tops and let them take out the goop. I don't think they enjoyed it as much as I used to!
Look at Macie, doesn't her face just say trouble? And yes, that is all she was during the de-gooping of the pumpkins. She just liked to put goop where it didn't belong!
We visited Grandma and Grandpa Robbins,

and Grandma and Grandpa Ashby before heading off to Trunk or Treat!

I had to throw this picture in because it wasn't as fuzzy as the last one!
Every year Halloween gets just a little bit better. It is so much fun now that the kids are older and more interested in all the Halloween festivities!

We did it again!

Lincoln, Chase, Noah
4 years ago Marie, Julia, and I all had baby boys one month apart from each other. Imagine how excited I was to find out that Marie is only a week ahead of me, and she is having a boy. Julia is only a week behind me, and she just found out that she is having a boy! Incase you didn't remember from a couple of posts ago, I am having a boy!
What are the chances? And no, we didn't plan it. In fact, I told Julia when I first found out that I was pregnant that I was sad that we would probably never be pregnant together again. And Marie kept her secret from me for at least 2 weeks after I told her that I was pregnant!
Chase and Lincoln have turned out to be some of Noah's very best friends and I am excited for my new little boy to have a couple little buddies too!
